Pastel Basics At Orange Anchor Art School

This 6 week , 2.5 hour class is an introduction to soft pastels. We'll focus on Fall landscapes from around the area. Soft pastels are a great medium for doing small studies or finished work. This class will offer an easy technique for starting pastels that you can develop into your own finished pieces of art. 

Ideas/Techniques/Skills that will be explored include the following: increasing one's perception of color to create complex, beautiful layers of pastels while enjoying a relaxed learning environment.

Notes

• This class is appropriate for students of all levels.
• ALL MATERIALS ARE INCLUDED IN THE CLASS PRICE
• Students ages 15+ are welcome to join. If a student is a little younger,

We will meet near the front gate if the weather is good and in the first greenhouse if it is bad weather. I will do a demo and I will have extra supplies there. You are free to paint where ever you like either in the greenhouse or in the gardens.

We always do a group critique at the end of class and we usually go over till about 1pm. You are free to bring your lunch if you want or to stay and paint all afternoon.
