My book

is available on Kindle for an amazing $4.99!

Check out my author page at:

This is a book on how to think about painting in pastel, how to recognize problems and how to correct them. It is also about the joy of experiencing the visual world in a way that is available to anyone who wants to take the time to look and learn. Artists and students at all levels will find something of interest in this book on using pastels to do plein air painting. I have focused on painting with pastels in Abruzzo, Italy, but these techniques will work anywhere and with all mediums. The book lays out a clear description of the tools available to all artists, and step by step demonstrations on how to use these tools, recognize problems and what to do when things go wrong.
